Peter Rojas is the co-founder of gdgt, a new gadget site launching later this year. He is also the founder of RCRD LBL, an ad-supported free music site, as well as the creator and founding editor of several popular technology blogs, including Engadget, Gizmodo, Joystiq, hackaday, and Engadget Mobile.

Sarah Bussell, Product Marketing Manager, Business Notebooks, Notebook Global Business Unit, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett Packard

Sarah Bussell is Product Marketing Manager for Business Notebooks in the Notebook Global Business Unit at HP. She leads the product marketing team and manages the roadmap strategy and product definitions for HP’s business notebook line.

Bussell has spent 9 years in business notebook product marketing at HP. Her earlier career includes product marketing roles in the technology industry and research positions in the biomedical field.  In total, Sarah has more than 12 years experience in mobile computing.

Sarah holds an MBA from the University of Houston and a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.

Aaron Cohen, CEO anyClip.com

 

Aaron Cohen has 12 years of Internet Media experience in consumer Internet as senior executive.   He has completed 13 transactions involving the buying, selling or capitalizing of early-stage Internet media companies.   He has founded or co-founded 4 startups, and served as CEO for two companies as a non-founder.  In the aggregate, Aaron’s companies have generated nearly $100mm for shareholders.

Starting in March of 2009, Aaron became the CEO of anyClip.com, a Jerusalem and New York-based media and technology company giving consumers and developers access to iconic moments from a rich library of licensed movies.

Aaron became the CEO of MenuPages in February of 2008 As CEO, Aaron expanded relationships with MenuPages partners including CitySearch and Tribune Company, and completed a sale of the company to Wasserstein Media’s New York Magazine in July of 2008.

Before MenuPages, Aaron was the CEO of Bolt Media and lead the company for 3 and half years during which he boosted revenue by 100% and repositioned the company as a leading video-based community.  During Aaron’s tenure at Bolt, unique visitors grew from 1mm to 6mm per month.  The company’s advertisers included the leading youth marketers in virtually every advertising category such as Verizon Wireless, Coca Cola, Nike, and Wendy’s. Aaron sold the company to the GOFISH corporation (GOFH), a youth advertising network in August of 2007.

Dr. Martin Kienzle, Chief Architect – Media Systems, IBM Digital Convergence EBO

Dr. Kienzle is the Chief Architect – Media Systems for the IBM Digital Convergence EBO. In this capacity he is specifying the technical requirements and defining the architectures for media systems.  Prior to this position, Dr. Kienzle was Senior Manager, Intelligent Server Infrastructures, at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Hawthorne, NY.  His responsibilities included the development of research and development strategies for media management technologies and media delivery infrastructures. He was managing several research efforts in these areas, and was the IBM Research Digital Media Substrategist, coordinating media-related research across the laboratories of the IBM Research Division.

Anthony Belpaire, General Manager, Touchatag

Anthony Belpaire is the General Manager of touchatag™, an Alcatel-Lucent Venture.  Touchatag™ enables consumers, applications developers and business to link everyday’s objects with online applications using 2D barcodes/Near Field Communications.

Touchatag™ is used in a variety of environments: for example in an in-home application a father can use touchatag™ to link his toddler’s teddy bear to an online story about that same bear;  in an outdoor environment touchatag™makes it possible for a visitor to an art gallery to wave his Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled mobile phone at a painting and then see the painter’s Wikipedia profile appear on the phone’s screen; or in a business/logistics environment a cleaning company can, for example, use it to record that a room has been successfully cleaned through a simple touch of an NFC-enabled mobile phone to a touchatag-linked NFC tag that has been placed in the room.

Prior joining touchatag™,  Anthony headed a number of start-ups in the online media and IT security domain from start to exit as Certipost, Info2clear and GlobalSign.

He started his career as Investment analyst at the innovation holding of a leading Belgian Publisher Corelio.

Anthony Belpaire has a Master in Telecommunications and graduated from the University of Ghent (Belgium). Upon completion, he undertook further studies on AI at the University of Valencia (Spain) and Intelligent Agents at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA).
